XM Satellite Radio
Last Monday I went to my car to go to the grocery store. It was parked out front instead of the garage like it usually is. I guess since I normally park in the garage and don't lock my car I didn't lock it the last time I came home which was sometime Saturday. Sometime in between Saturday evening and Monday noon someone got in my car and stole my XM Satellite Radio, my cell phone car charger, and my inverter. I guess they were in a hurry because they didn't get my leather coat in the back seat, two wireless headphones in the back, my DVD player or my 10 disc CD player and book on CD in the player.
I then called the people at xm about my radio getting stolen. They deactivated the radio that was stolen and it can't be reactivated. (Have fun listening to nothing thieves!!) The lady told me about a promotional deal for situations like mine....My same radio for 49.99 which includes a home kit and vehicle kit (retail cost on it is right about $150.00 and the home kit is another $30.00 or so)......i said ok.....she said tax and everything would be 64$....i said ok....she said she couldn't get it to go thru...let her try again....ok.....this time it went through....cool....she said I should receive my radio in about 5 to 7 days.......Today doorbell rings...UPS man with two packages for me.....Hummmm why two packages???? I open both packages and there are two Delphi Sky2 radios and 2 vehicle and 2 home kits......also two invoices for $64.00 each....Not good......I call the 800 number on the invoices...the lady says there are no returns on promotional deals I'll have to call another 800 number and talk to the department who is responsible for this.....ok, I call the other 800 number and get a really nice girl name Janice....I told her the situation and she looked on my account.....yep two charges for $64.00 for two radios.....she said she would be right back (i guess she had to talk to her supervisor or something)......She came back on the line and said they would credit my account the $64 and NOT to return the radio.....they don't take returns on promotional radios......she said it was their mistake and they would fix it....she said give it away or save it for later.....COOL.......I talked to Amanda a while ago and she said she wanted it.....I guess sometimes things do work out......
